Services for Katie Irene Gardner will be held Monday, March 06, 2017 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Mrs. Gardner, age 93, died on Friday, March 03, 2017 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

She was born on May 06, 1923 in Bellefontaine, MS, to the late Newitt E and Katherine Mixon Gardner and resided in Greenwood most of her life. Katie was a resident of Golden Age Nursing Home for the past 4 years, where she loved to play bingo. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood. She is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and a brother.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 06, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Greenwood. Interment will be in North Union Cemetery in Bellefontaine at 2:00PM on Monday.
