Services for Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Robert Mims, Sr. will be held on Monday, January 16, 2022 11:00 AM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Mims age, 36, died on Sunday, January 8, 2023 in Nacogdoches, TX.

He was born on March 13, 1986 in Clarksdale, MS, to James Alex Mims, Jr and the late Peggy Mims and resided in the Greenwood area most of his life. He was a graduate of Pillow Academy and was a member of Valley Hill United Methodist Church. He was a US Marine Corp veteran and worked for Precision Drilling in Houston, TX. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children. He is preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, James Alex Mims, Sr, and Ruth Edna Hamilton Mims; and maternal grandparents, Eunice Baine Piovera, and Walter J Schoefer.

He is survived by his wife, Caitlin Mims of Greenwood, MS; two sons, Kenneth Robert Mims, Jr. of Greenwood, MS, and Kendall Wynne Mims of Greenwood, MS; father, James  Alex (Carla) Mims, Jr. of Carrollton, MS; brothers, Jamey (Julie) Mims of Winona, MS, and Johnny (Paula) Mims of Greenwood, MS; and three sisters, Peggy Jo (Jamie) Tanksley of Greenwood, MS, Loralee (Lee) Fletcher of Carrollton, MS, and Shannon (Michael) Estrada of Cookeville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Glenn Seefeld and Rev. Dr. Stephen Hale will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Alex Tanksley, Preston Fletcher, Cole Fletcher, James A. Mims, IV, Justin Mims, Steele Mims, and Taylor Thach. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Mims, Joey Mims, Jonah Mims, and Pierce Fletcher. Burial will be in Valley Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Valley Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
