Services for Lavonne Paulette Metz will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 2:00 PM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home.

Mrs. Metz, age 76, died on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at her residence in Carrollton, MS.

She was born on June 16, 1946 in Higden, AR, to the late William Bennett Tackett and Lillian Marue Tackett and resided in Carrollton the past three years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Caulfield, MO. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dwain Metz.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Dwain (Sherry) Metz of Tahlequah, OK, and Joey Wayne (Melissa) Metz of Carrollton, MS; daughter, Keisha Paulette (Stan) Russell of Carrollton, MS; brothers, Charles William (Brenda) Tackett of Russellville, AR, and Jimmy Killis (Susie) Tackett of Greenwood, MS; sisters, Regina Ann (Joe) Walker of Itta Bena, MS, and Loretta Joan (Brian) Terwilliger of Greenbrier, AR; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. .

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Keith Davis will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Zach Metz, McCall Metz, Jackson Metz, Hunter Wilson, Brent Wilson, Cody Beam, and Clay Goss. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM with a visitation starting at 11:00 AM at Higden McLehaney Cemetery in Higden, AR.
