Linda Fay Green Lusk passed away peacefully in her home on June 10, 2026, in Carrollton, Mississippi, at the age of 85. Her final moments were spent surrounded by her children.
She was born on May 10, 1941, in Philipp, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Monroe Lee Green and Mary Etta Green.
Fay is survived by her five children: Jeff Lusk of Carrollton, Mississippi; Marlece Lusk Karamitsos (Robert) of Arlington, Virginia; Camille Lusk Parker (Michael) of Holcomb, Mississippi; Jay Lusk Hicks (Ronnie) of Carrollton, Mississippi; and Lee Lusk (Tyra) of Carrollton, Mississippi. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Shirley Green West (Jobe) of Slate Springs, Mississippi.
Fay was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and she loved her many nieces and nephews dearly. She is preceded in death by her late husbands, Billy Lusk and Bobby Lusk and her 6 siblings: William, Travis, Jack, Thelma, Ester Best, and Bobby Green.
Fay created a life defined by resilience and unconditional love. Family and friends will remember her caring spirit, her love of nature, and her remarkable ability to love others deeply. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Carrollton, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. A reception at the church will follow and all attendees are welcome. Following the reception, a graveside service will be held at Indianola City Cemetery in Indianola, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Kaleb Hicks, Nolan Hill, Isabella Karamitsos, Chris Lusk, Billy Lusk, and Blake Lusk. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Counts, Dane Jones and Nelson Parker.
Pastor Gary Tanner will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Fay's life.
