Lonnie Harold Galey, age 71, a lifelong resident of Greenwood, MS, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 in Joliet, IL, where he was being cared for by his daughter during his final illness.

Born May 8, 1950 in Greenwood, MS, he was the son of the late Harold Donald and Margaret (McDaniel) Galey.  He was employed for many years by Balkamp, Inc., in Greenwood.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Christopher) Richardson of Joliet, IL; two grandsons, Jacob and Ethan; one brother, Louie (Glenda) Galey, Sr.; a nephew, Louie Galey, Jr.; and a niece, Amy Callahan.

Funeral services for Lonnie Galey will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., at the Wilson and Knight Funeral Home, in Greenwood, MS, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS.
