Lori Anne Ussery Marter, better known as "Boo", born on March 3, 1979, was the daughter of Donnie Ussery and the late Vicky Lumpkin, and younger sister to Donald Wade Ussery. Boo passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2023, at the age of 44.

Boo graduated Cruger-Tchula Academy in 1997 and attended Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS, for a short time. After leaving Holmes Community College, she began working at Staplcotn in Greenwood, MS, until a wreck in October of 2003 left her disabled. Boo loved her job and spoke of it often. After the passing of her mother, Boo lived with her father and "Miss Annie" who took exceptional care of her until her day of passing.

Boo was preceded in death by both maternal grandparents, Wade and Virginia Corley; both paternal grandparents, Lois and Lucille Ussery; and her mother, Vicky Lumpkin.

She is survived by her father, Donnie (Annie) Ussery of Itta Bena, MS; son, Zackary Marter of Oxford, MS; and brother, Donald Wade (Amy) Ussery of Blackhawk, MS. Boo also leaves behind an uncle, Warren Corley of Vaiden, MS; niece, Marilois (Corley) Goss; great nephew, Briggs Goss; nephew, Owen Ussery; and dear friend, Kelly (Chris) McQuary.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 11:00 AM till 1:30 PM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS with Rev. David Bartlett officiating. Pallbearers will be Hunter Brower, Brian Brower, Jeremy Bowers, Matt Bowers, Xander Bowers, and Darrell Barrett.
