Louise Gillespie Fraiser, age 99, died Monday, August 29, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Carrollton at Evergreen Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Rusty Douglas will officiate.
Louise was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sid Gillespie, Sr. of Morgan City and Greenwood. She graduated from the University of Mississippi and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a member of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Society of Daughters of American Colonists, and the Society of Scottish Dames. Louise
was a former member of the Greenwood Garden Club and Junior Auxiliary. Her main interests were her flower garden and family genealogy research. She loved to dance.
Louise is survived by five nieces, Lucile P. Hicks of Boston, Massachusetts, Diana P. Oliver of Austin, Texas, Hart Pillow of Durham, North Carolina, Gail G. Reed of Oxford, and Anne S. Mays of Madison and her nephews, Walter Reese Pillow III of Morgan City and Dr. John A. Smith, Jr. of Greenwood. Her son , Dave C. Fraiser, Jr., preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Reese Pillow, Stephen Pillow, Neil Pillow, Watson Pillow, H. Y. Fraiser, III all of Greenwood, Jimmy Abbott of Indianola, and Jody Gee of Carrollton. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Fair Lucas, Dr. Charles Nause, Chip Ford and Craig Brewer. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Indywood Glen and Dr. Charles Nause and all of their loving employees.
Memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
