Louise Jones Lowe of Glendora, MS died Thursday, August 13th. Louise was born in Vicksburg. Her family moved to Jackson and later to Greenwood where she graduated from Greenwood High School. She proudly attended the Mississippi State College for Women, known simply as the "W".

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Jones and her husband of 35 years, William Lacey "Billy" Lowe of Glendora.

She is survived by her only daughter, May Lowe East and husband Barry of Brandon, MS, and her three sons, William Lacey Lowe, Jr and wife Nena of Tupelo, MS, Ed Lowe and wife Rebecca of Oxford, MS and David Lowe and wife Laura of Memphis, TN. She loved all of her grand-children, William Lacey Lowe, III of Oxford, MS, Mitch "Moosey" Lowe of Tupelo, MS and Hester Lowe of Tupelo, Courtney and Emily East of Brandon, MS and Ben, Sarah and John Lowe of Memphis, TN. She leaves one sister, Sherley Jones Richter of Starkville, MS.

Louise gave over 55 years of service to her church, Glendora United Methodist Church as church secretary/treasurer.
She was a founding member of The Delta Rockers, a dance troupe for seniors. She loved to perform and travel with her friends. She enjoyed sports, especially tennis and SEC football, and most of all, her Ole Miss Rebels. She was the sole proprietor and operator of Granny's Duck Camp, where friends and family enjoyed her specialty of broiled shrimp and hot breakfasts.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 4:00 PM in Woodlawn Cemetery near Sumner, MS, on the banks of Cassidy Bayou. A brief gathering will take place at the Lowe family home on Whitehead Plantation in Glendora, MS immediately following the service.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Hand, Jack Ford, Sykes Sturdivant, nephews, Jim Richter and Bill Richter, Jim Lowe, John Bethea and Ernest Bethea and her grandsons.
