Obituary

Louise Miller Quinn, 91 of Greenwood died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, MS. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday January 13, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Quinn was born January 28, 1922 in Eden, Mississippi in Yazoo County to Thomas and Emma Noel Miller. She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church where she was a member of the LLL Fourth Sunday School Class. She graduated from Yazoo City High School and attended Mississippi Delta Community College, Ole Miss and Delta State University. She worked for the Greenwood/Leflore Library for thirty years until her retirement in1987. Mrs. Quinn was a volunteer for Golden Age Nursing Home and a volunteer of the Museum of the Mississippi Delta. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Quinn, Jr., two step children Sally Ann Collins, George Quinn and her parents.

Mrs. Quinn is survived by her son Thomas M. Quinn and his wife Diane of Biloxi, MS and her step-son John W. Quinn III of Jackson, TN. Four Grandchildren Donna Bowles, Lorra Britt and Debbie Hall of Jacksonville, FL and Thomas B. Quinn of Biloxi, MS, four great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
