Services for Louvertia Heathcock Montgomery will be held Sunday May 22, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Wilson and Knight Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm unit the 2:00pm Service at Wilson and Knight
Mrs. Montgomery, age 96 went to be with her Lord on Friday May 20, 2016. She was born on October 16, 1919 in Washington County, AL to the late Cyral Alvna and Callie Givens Heathcock. She was born and raised in Alabama .She married Leon Montgomery in 1943 and moved to Greenwood, MS in 1947, where she remained a resident there until moving to Monroe, LA in 2001. Mrs. Montgomery was a graduate of Fruitdale High School in Alabama. She was a retired saleslady for Gibson's Department Store of 26 years. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of the West President Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking for others and caring for children. She is preceded in death by her husband Leon Montgomery, parents, three brothers and three sisters and a granddaughter Paula Taylor Shields. She will be missed dearly by friends and family.

She is survived by Daughter, Loraine (Jacky) Taylor of Monroe, LA, son, Leonard (Cindi) Montgomery of Memphis TN. two granddaughters, Andrea Telgren (James) of Little Rock, AR, Jana (Charles) Hutzler of West Monroe, LA. Two grandsons Townes (Teresa) Gray and Taylor (Adrienne) Gray of Memphis, TN. and eleven great grandchildren
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, MS following the services.
