Mandy Michelle Thomas Norwood, 36, of Carrollton, MS, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church in Carroll County. Bro. Dennis McKay, Bro. Kevin Tribble, and Bro. David Bartlett will officiate.

Mandy was born August 14, 1981 in Greenwood, MS, to Michael Thomas and Judy Elizabeth Harrell. She attended Holcomb Baptist Church and was a member of Sidon Baptist Church. She was a 1999 graduate of Maranatha Christian Academy, completed the course for the blind and low vision in Tupelo, was an active member of Garden Park, and loved arts, crafts, pottery, and drawing. She also loved watching the Cooking Network, Game Network, and fixer-upper shows. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gibb and Freddie Harrell, Floyd and Margaret Thomas, and Virginia Harmon. Mandy was a special girl and an inspiration to many. She was greatly admired and loved by her friends and family.

Mandy is survived by her parents, Mike and Judy Harmon of Avalon, MS, and Mike and Becky Thomas of Black Hawk, MS; sisters, Amy McClain and husband Casey of Holcomb, MS, and Brittany Baker Thomas and fiancé Brent Acy of Black Hawk, MS; brothers, Michael Thomas and wife Ashley of Rogers, AR, Scotty Harmon and wife Amy of Leland, MS, and Mike Harmon and wife Michelle of Paducah, KY; two nieces, ten nephews, and one great-niece.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Evans, Jay Taylor Evans, Trevor Harmon, Lane Goss, Matthew Harmon, Brayden Harmon, Adam Harmon, Gibb Thomas, Ashton Thomas, and Cohen Acy.

The family greatly appreciates Compassionate Home Care caregivers Susie Woods, Ellen Thomas, and Mary Perry.
