Margenell "Margie" Edwards Tanner, 87, passed away at the Sea Cliff Healthcare on November 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Tanner; sisters, Bobby Edwards Barlow and Marguerite Edwards, and step-daughter, Glenda Tanner. She is survived by her brother, William "Billy" T Edwards and his wife, Beverly Edwards; her sister, Johnnie Edwards Picard and her husband, Johnny Picard; her brother, Pittman Edwards and his wife, Charlotte Edwards, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie was born in Choctaw County, Mississippi, and was a long time resident of Garden Grove, CA. Margie was a homemaker and a graduate of Business College in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Humphreys High School. She was homemaker and volunteered at the VA often. Her enormous personality, and beautiful smile will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to get to know her.

Graveside services will be held at the Itta Bena cemetery in Itta Bena, MS, on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:30am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am till 11:00am at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2016.
