Margie Lindsey Wilburn, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Indywood Glen Personal Care in Greenwood, MS.  Visitation will be held on Sunday at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM with Rev. George Mims officiating.

Margie was born in Cleveland, Mississippi, on July 29, 1931, to the late Thomas Jefferson Lindsey and Lottie Lipe Lindsey and resided in the Sidon / Phillipston area the majority of her life.  She became the beloved wife of James Harold Wilburn, Sr. (Harold) on September 15, 1951, in Sidon. They enjoyed traveling together, especially to Oil Mill Conventions and with family and dear friends. Mrs. Wilburn was an avid weekly bridge player.

Mrs. Wilburn was a wonderful mother, devoted wife, bookkeeper for Farrish Gravel Company, and a licensed beautician.

Mrs. Wilburn was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), United Daughters of the Confederacy, Greenwood Woman's Club and past president of the O'Bera Garden Club.  She was also a member of Phillipston Baptist Church where she served as their Treasurer for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, James Harold Wilburn of 71 years; son, James Harold Wilburn, Jr.; sisters, Lois Prewitt, Allie Mae Stephens, Mary Farrish and infant sister, Patricia Lindsey; and brothers, John E. Lindsey and Thomas J. Lindsey Jr.

Mrs. Wilburn is survived by her son, Frank and wife Pam of Hoover, AL; two granddaughters, Casey Cole (Mark) of Hoover, AL, and Haley Shackelford (Clint) of Jackson, MS, and three great-granddaughters, Locklin Cole, Carrington Cole, and Blakely Shackelford
