Obituary

Marilyn Carver, 68 of Greenwood died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 24, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate.

Mrs. Carver was born February 8, 1946 in Tupelo, MS. She retired from Greenwood Leflore Hospital where she worked for seventeen years as a medical secretary. She was dedicated to her profession in serving the people at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church where she was a member of the Serendipity Sunday School Class. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents David C. Savage and Christine Waugh, her brothers Trellie Waugh and William Lee Waugh.

Mrs. Carver is survived by her daughters Kristy O'Neal and husband Chris of Greenwood and Trish Perry of Greenwood and her sister Patricia Mullins and her husband Buster of Carrollton, MS. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Stevy Kay Sanders of Greenwood, Presley Elkins of Cleveland, Lacy Perry of Greenwood, Billy Perry III of Greenwood, Carver O'Neal of Greenwood, and Sophie O' Neal of Greenwood. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren Emma Hayes and Cooper sanders both of Greenwood.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Greenwood Leflore Hospital Emergency Room Physicians and Dr. Kenneth Hines.
