Marlene Sivley McGehee, 94, of Greenwood passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Collin Montgomery officiating.

Mrs. McGehee was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood for many years. She worked as a bookkeeper for Wildwood Plantation, Carnagio Distributing Company, and Marascalco Distributing Company until her retirement. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with family and friends, traveling, working on craft projects, and puzzle books.  She was married to James Lloyd Sivley for 50 years and Neil McGehee for 14 years. She is preceded in death by her husbands; son, James Lloyd Sivley, Jr; parents, Lamar and Annie Hurst; and sister, Mildred Barrois.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet S. Henderson of Greenwood, MS; son, Jimmy Sivley of Greenville, MS; sisters, Myrtis Lindsay of Corpus Christi, TX, and Patricia McDaniel of Grenada, MS; grandchildren, Larry (Brandy) Jenkins of Goodman, MS, Della Tracy Leard of Jonesboro, AR, Brook (Shane) Sanders of Minter City, MS, and Chris Sivley of Minter City, MS; great grandchildren, Robert Leard of Jonesboro, AR, Lee Leard of Agusta, AR, Chase Minga of Jonesboro, AR, Matthew Sherrell of Jonesboro, AR, Angelina Keith-Jenkins of Goodman, MS, Mason Sanders of Minter City, MS, Alex Sanders of Minter City, MS, and Logan Sanders of Minter City, MS; and a great-great grandchild, Aldrich Leard.

Pallbearers will be Robert Leard, Chase Minga, Bob Givens, James Johnson, Bubba DeLoach, and Dwight Dunn. Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Wilson and Collier Tillman.

The family extends a special thanks to Mid Delta Hospice and her nurses Angela, Brittni, and Blanche.
