Mary Lillian Winters Ruppe, entered the Heaven's Gate on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born in 1928 in Mississippi where she spent most of her life before moving to Louisiana to be closer to her daughter and family. A wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for her many plants and flowers. She loved to paint, was an avid puzzler and animal enthusiast. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, of 67 years, Henry Lee Ruppe, her father, Allen Judson Winters, and mother, Etta Smith Winters; sisters, Nadine Winters Harrison, and Allie Ree Winters Howell; and brother, Allen Jackson Winters. She leaves behind a sister, Mable Winters Smith; and brother, Charles William Winters. She is also survived by her daughter, Ann Ruppe Hayes, and son-in-law, Scott Hayes; grandsons, Preston Lee Hayes (Amanda), and Jason Scott Hayes (Jade); and great grandchildren, Macie and Mackenzie Hayes, and Hunter, and Ashton Hayes.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County, MS.  Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. An online guestbook may be signed at www.wilsonandknight.com
