MARY ELIZABETH KELLY CONNER TENHET
Mary Elizabeth Conner Tenhet, age 80, of Greenwood, MS, passed away peacefully at her home on November 22, 2018, with her family present. Mrs. Tenhet was raised in Morgan City, MS, and graduated from Morgan City School. She attended MS College for Women and Delta State University. Liz and her husband Paul married in 1964 and settled in Sidon, MS, where they raised four children. Liz was a homemaker and enjoyed entertaining, catering, and played an active role in her children's activities. In the last years she resided in Greenwood with her husband, Joe Tenhet, and they enjoyed camping, boating, and gatherings with friends. She loved watching her granddaughter, Peyton, dance at football games, dance competitions, and recitals. She loved her family, her friends, her Church, and the Lord.
Mrs. Tenhet is survived by her daughter, Paula Conner Sudduth, son-in-law, Mike Sudduth, and granddaughter Peyton Mann, all of Greenwood; and a daughter, Carrie Conner Brannan, of Jackson, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Mary Douglas Kelly, brother, Johnny Kelly, husband, Paul Conner, Sr., son, Paul Conner, Jr., daughter, Betty Conner, and husband, Joe Tenhet.
Services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Greenwood Primitive Baptist Church, with Visitation from 12:00 PM until time of service time at 1:30 PM. Graveside prayer and interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Philip Green and Pastor Dennis McKay will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Paul Lyon, Curt Jolly, Winfred Wilkinson, Keith Conner, Tim McKay, Rob Grantham, and Jessie Sudduth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kimble Kelly, Danny Kelly, Phil Kelly, Talmadge Kelly, Curtis Jolly, Reece Makamson, Steve Daves, Jeff Reeves and Randy Mann.
