Maxine N. Spruill,96, of Greenwood died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Indywood Glen Personal Care. Funeral services will be 1:00Pm Tuesday July 29, 2014 at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood with Dr. Joe Pate officiating. Visitation will be Monday July 28, 2014 5:00Pm till 7:00PM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Spruill was born June 5, 1918 in Carroll County to Pascal and Viola Newton. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenwood and had been a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Pershing Spruill.

Mrs. Spruill is survived by her daughter Linda Raby and her husband Fred of Houston, TX, sons Quentin Spruill and his wife Denyse of Jacksonville, AL, Jimmy Spruill of Huntsville, AL, Patrick Spruill and his wife Kay of Dallas, TX, special nephew Herbet Ray Burns and his wife Kathy, 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Doug Spruill, Darren Spruill, Herbert Ray Burns, Fred Raby, Mark Davis, and James Jackson.
