Mildred Lorea Adcock Clark, age 83, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer.  Surrounded by her family and friends, she was peacefully ushered into her Heavenly Father's presence.

Mildred was born in Holmes County, MS, on December 19, 1938 to Ellis Curvin and Anna Lee Adcock.  After finishing high school in Cruger, MS, she attended business college in Dallas, Texas, and married David H. Clark on October 17, 1958.  She lived in Tripoli, Libya, Africa and Mt. Clemons, Michigan, while traveling with her husband in the military, before becoming a lifelong resident of Greenwood, MS. She and her husband owned and operated service stations for over 20 years. The last three years they worked on Fridays cooking barbeque for special events before deciding to forsake the service station business and go full-time with Clark's Bar-B-Q.  They retired from this business after twenty years of making customers happy serving them great food.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist church for many years.  Her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews lovingly called her "Bill".

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Virginia Adcock Clark, and brothers, Hoyle Adcock, Jimmy Adcock, and Roy Adcock.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, David H. Clark; sons, Ronald David Clark and Roy Keith Clark of Greenwood, MS; daughters, Anna Clark Thornton of Laurel, MS, and Tracy Clark Pickett of Oxford, MS; grandchildren, Lisa Thornton Dotson (Drexter), Jody Thornton (Anna), Anna Katherine Pickett Christian (Chad), Shara Clark, KC Clark, Jr., Marisa Clark, and Bella Clark; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 9:30 AM till 11:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenwood with funeral services immediately following visitation. Rev. Randy Clayton will officiate. Interment will follow in North MS Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS.
