Mildred Jeanette Cohn, 98, of Plano, Texas, died on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her home in The Legacy at Willow Bend. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Ahavath Rayin Cemetery in Greenwood. Wilson& Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mildred was born on September 17, 1915 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the eldest daughter of Sam and Ella Cohn. She grew up and lived most of her life in Indianola, Mississippi, where she helped run the family store, S. Cohn and Company, as well as Cohn Farms. Active in her Jewish faith, Mildred attended services at both Congregation Ahavath Rayim in Greenwood and Hebrew Union Congregation in Greenville.

Mildred moved to Plano, Texas at age 82 to be closer to her family, many of whom lived in the Dallas area. There, she was able to spend her remaining years being an integral part of the lives of her great-nephews and great-nieces.

Mildred is survived by her sister, Hilma Levy and her husband Walter of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law Judy Cohn Feldt of Plano, Texas; nephews Marc Cohn and wife Jill of Plano, Texas and Lew Cohn of Sherman, Texas; nieces Debbie Levy of Belmont, Massachusetts, Julie Robinowitz and husband Ken of Dallas, Texas, and Sharon Lipinsky and husband Jay of Dallas, Texas; numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, and a great-great grand niece; and many loving cousins and friends.
