Mildred Ruth Ray Fairley, 82, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, November 21, 2016 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Visitation will also be at the funeral home 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016. Interment will be in Crowder Cemetery in Crowder, MS, with Rev. Brad Hodges officiating services.
Mrs. Fairley was born December 20, 1933 in Holcomb, MS, to Robert M. Ray and Mary Lois Elliott Ray. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greenwood and retired from Johnson/McAdams Engineering as a secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Fairley, Jr., grandson, Matthew Fairley Alred, son, Larry Eugene Fairley and her parents.
Mrs. Fairley is survived by her daughter, Donna Catherine Fairley Alred and husband Eric of Marks, MS; two grandchildren, Brett Hamilton Alred and wife Lauren of Madison, MS, and Hayley Alred Hillmer and husband Josh of Starkville, MS; and one great-grandchild, Catherine "Catie" Renee Hillmer of Starkville, MS.
Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
