Miles Harbour McBee, 25, of Greenwood died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his residence. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood, MS. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Peter Gray will officiate.
Miles was born in Greenwood, MS on June 12, 1989 and he was a 2008 graduate of Pillow Academy where he played varsity soccer and served as the goal keeper. He attended the University of Mississippi where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity.
Miles, described as "the most sought after hello and high five on the Ole Miss campus," instantly brightened the room with his contagious smile, bright red attire, and a few preconceived questions. Miles was a close friend to many and a mutual friend to even more. He will be missed by friends, family and Rebel Nation. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carol S. White, Melissa McBee and Dalton McBee.
Miles is survived by his parents Dudley and Dawn McBee of Greenwood and his brother Malcolm McBee of New Orleans, LA. He is also survived by his grandparents Ronnie and Judy White of Eupora, MS, his McBee and Cole cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ross Homolik, Tyler Chamblee, Colby Spruill, Will Wilson, Kevin Earwood, Bo Craig, Jacob Land, Pate Shackelford, and Brewer Upshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Young, Matt Taylor, Micah Borne, Michael Gresham, Anish Sharma, Robert Wilson, Eric Wilder, Baker Boler, Daniel Allen, Michael Fancher and John Rentz.
