Milton Earl Prewitt, 68, of Carrollton, MS, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with visitation 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Rev. Lanny Haley and Rev. Patrick Collins will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County.
Earl was born on January 7, 1957, in Greenwood, MS, to Milton Monroe Prewitt and Carolyn Belk Prewitt. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. He married Dorothy "Dot Dot" Organ on January 7, 1978. He worked for UPS and Roy Collins Construction as a superintendent for 22 years. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his two girls that he loved very much, Monica and Lauren. He also enjoyed making a loop on his side by side, bush hogging, relaxing in the swimming pool at his home, and hanging out with his Turkey Track Hunting Camp buddies. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Garrett Jones, brother, David Prewitt, and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy "Dot Dot" Organ Prewitt of Carrollton; two daughters, Monica Prewitt Jones and husband Kenny of Carrollton, MS and Lauren Prewitt Beck and husband John of Carrollton, MS; brother, Doug Prewitt and wife Joy of Quitman, MS; sisters, Renee Martin of Grenada, MS, and Brandy Prewitt of Southaven, MS.; four grandchildren, Kendi Brook Jones, Anna Lauren Jones, John Lane Beck, and Meri Milton Beck, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Scott Beck, Taylor Willoughby, Brad Willoughby, Jeffery Horne, Dan Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Mike Haddon, Chris Holly, and John Walker Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Collins, Larry Carver, Tim Beasley, Justin Hardy, and Rusty Carpenter.
