Obituary

Miriam W. Roberts, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, January 10th, 2024, in the home of her daughter, Rosemary R. (Dean) Vail. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Eddie F. Roberts. She was a native of Madison, GA, and attended LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA.

After her marriage she moved to Mississippi, living in many towns as a United Methodist pastor's wife, and teaching in the elementary grades of the public school system for many years. In addition to her daughter Rosemary, she is survived by her sons, E. Frank (Carole) Roberts, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL, John G. (Lisa) Roberts of Kendall, FL, and Wilson Paul (Natasha) Roberts of Conroe, TX. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

All who met her commented on her sweet and kind nature, and she created many wonderful memories for her family. She also greatly enjoyed her bridge club and playing Scrabble online with players from many different places.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenwood where see was active in the Women's Circle and played the piano for the Russell Sunday School Class.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 30th , 2024 in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrolton, MS, with the Rev. Dr. Scott Wright and Rev. Brad Hodges officiating.

The family of Mrs. Roberts would like to thank to her caregivers who made it possible to remain with her family. This includes Renata Westbrook, Jocelyn Herndon, Krystal Guess, and Shannah Harris.
