Services for Nada Souri Rustom will be held at 11:00AM Monday November 30, 2015 with visitation beginning at 9:30AM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.
Nada S. Rustom 90 passed away peacefully at Greenwood Leflore Hospital on Saturday November 28, 2015.
Mrs. Rustom was born in Gaza in 1924. She immigrated to the United States with her late husband and children in 1970 from Damascus Syria. She was a loving Wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a dedicated mother who raised eight wonderful children and her joy was when everyone was around. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, who died four months ago, Youssef Rustom, her parents David and Nazar Souri, brother Issa Souri, sister Najla Souri, one grandchild, Bassam Khalaf, and a son in law, Ellis Rantisi.
She is survived by her daughters Kitty Khalaf and her husband Joe of Ridgeland, MS, Lamia Dabit and her husband Sam of Jackson, MS, Hilda Rustom of Greenwood, MS, Ellen Daho and her husband George of Hattiesburg, MS, Mary Rantisi of Vicksburg, MS, Amal Rustom of Germantown, TN, and sons Abraham Rustom and his wife Rima of Greenwood, MS, and Sam Rustom and his wife Kim of Greenwood, MS, brothers, Hannah Souri, George Souri, Michael Souri, three sister Fadwa Favah, Naheel Souri, and Marie Souri. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Father Paul Yerger of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Clinton, MS will officiate the services, and Dr. Jim Phillips will assist. Pallbearers will be Joseph Rustom, Sam Rustom Jr., Joseph Daho, Nader Khalaf, David Rustom, Ellis Rustom, Phillip Rustom, Warren Strain and Chris Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Khalaf, Sam Dabit, George Daho, Abdo Rustom, and Bobby Blansett.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Clinton, MS. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge.
