Nancy P. King, 100, of Greenwood died Monday, January 19, 2015 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Itta Bena Cemetery. Rev. Bernard Wiggins will officiate at the services.
Mrs. King was born November 5, 1914 in McCool, MS to Peyton and Eula Proctor. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenwood. Mrs. King enjoyed spending time with her family, and she will be remembered as a gracious and loving lady. She enjoyed gardening where she grew beautiful flowers and she also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years Ernest Reed King, Jr. and her daughter Eula Alford.
Mrs. King is survived by two daughters Judy King McCullar of Eufaula, AL and Nancy King Heard of Tallulah, LA, her granddaughter Debbie Tucker of McCarley who was her loving companion and guardian, five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Derek Heard, Fred Heard, Lonnie Heard, Bobby Jordan, Lee McCullar, Barry Tucker, Travis Tucker. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
