Services for Nina Hall DeLoach Alderson will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Alderson, age 100, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Golden Age Nursing Home.

Mrs. Alderson was born on June 04, 1917 in Carroll County, MS, to the late George Lake and Helen Neal DeLoach. She attended Jefferson Community School where she was one of the first basketball players. She married Robert Clyde Alderson on November 18, 1934 and was a homemaker. She loved to garden and sew. She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church where she taught the Esther Sunday School class for a number of years. She was also a member of WMU. Nina recently celebrated her 100 ^th birthday with over 100 guest at the home of her niece and nephew Bonnie Jo and Carl DeLoach.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Joann Alderson Hunt and Boyce Lee Lovette, son, Robert Harley Alderson, and a great grandchild, David Noah Hunt.

She is survived by her seven grandchildren, Terry Hunt, Karen Hunt Stewart, Mike Hunt, Brian Lovette, Mitch Lovette, Harley Alderson, and Michael Alderson; two sisters, Charlene Wilson of Houston, TX, and June Azar of Shirley, AR; brother, George Lake DeLoach Jr. of Cleveland, MS;  daughter In Law, Silvia Alderson of Vicksburg, MS; ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. Interment will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
