Owen Anderson Green

March 14, 2017 - July 25, 2017

Baby Owen was born too early at only 24 weeks 6 days gestation, but his days in the NICU were filled with joy and love. He loved visits from family and friends, blowing bubbles, and sweet snuggles from his parents. After a brave fight for 4 months and 11 days, Owen passed away peacefully in his mother and father's arms on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

He is survived by his parents, Hal and Angela Green, of Itta Bena, MS; paternal grandmother, Peggy Palmer and her husband Alex, of Redbanks, MS; maternal grandmother, Marian Burk and her husband Eddie, of Marionville, MO; and maternal grandfather, Thomas Croley of MO.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Doug Green.

Services for Owen Anderson Green will be held Sunday, July 30, 2017 2:00 PM graveside at Evergreen Cemetery in Carrollton, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Dr. Billy Ray Stonestreet will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dennis Barlow, Jr, Bobby Mason, Alan Barger, and Vincent Delahoussaye.

Wilson & Knight is handling all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Owen's parents ask that donations be made in his name to a children's charity of your choice or a local Ronald McDonald House. An online guest book may be signed at www.wilsonandknight.com
