Paul Winfred Buford, 72, of Greenwood died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10a.m. to 11a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Joe Pate officiating.
Mr. Buford, 72, died on September 4, 2013, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Mr. Buford served in the U.S. Marine Reserves. He was a retired gin and grain elevator manager for Due West Farms, Glendora, MS. He was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed reading about Mississippi History and drinking coffee each morning with McDonald's Coffee Club.
Mr. Buford is survived by his wife, Alice Buford, one son, Charles W. Buford and his wife, Jennifer, one daughter Suzanne Buford; one grandson, Brett Buford all of Greenwood, and one brother, Dorman "Doc" Buford of Oxford, Ms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Grantham and Lewis Herman Buford; two sisters, Marie Buford Makamson and Earline Buford Pullen; three brothers, Norman Buford, Waldo A. Buford, and Lewis H. Buford, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Joey Brooks, Lewis "Bubba" Buford, Scott Buford, James Flippo, Mike Montgomery, and Bruce Dawson.
Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Baptist Children's Home.
