Ray Evans

Graveside memorial services for Ray Evans will be held at a later date at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Mr. Evans, age 85, died on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

He was born on February 24, 1936 to the late Willard and Lucy Evans in Wesson, MS, and resided in Itta Bena the past 25 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Itta Bena where he was a Deacon. He was also a member of the Itta Bena Morgan City Rotary Club and proudly served in the US Navy.

He is survived by his two sons, Donald Ray (Betty) Evans and Billy Ray Evans, both of Arkansas; two step daughters, Robin Dunn of Teoc, MS, and Tammy (Buddy) McKee of Itta Bena, MS; sister in law, Sherry (David) Kelly of Itta Bena, MS, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
