Rebecca Jones "Becky" McCabe, 78, of Natchez, Mississippi, formerly of Greenwood, died Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Jim Phillips will officiate the services.

Becky was born July 22, 1947, in Greenwood, to the late Lola and Wilson Jones. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and then attended Delta State University where she was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis in Home Economics and Family Living. She taught home economics and family living at Greenwood High School before going on to serve as the School Food Service Supervisor for the Greenwood Public School District, from which she retired. She was an active member of Altrusa International in Greenwood and a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, James Henry McCabe III.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Kathryn McCabe Hames (Jason) of Grenada, MS; son, James Henry "Bubba" McCabe IV (Katie) of Natchez, MS; granddaughter, Alexandria Shane Williamson (Zoey) of Grenada, MS; sister-in-law, Mary Parker Wilson of Clinton, MS; and nephew, Robbie Wilson (Lesley) of Greenwood, MS.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Magnolia Village for the compassionate love and care they provided, going above and beyond in treating our mother as family, and to her caregiver, Molly Miller, for her kindness and compassion.

Pallbearers will be Justin Brunson, Jerry Dale Blackburn, Will Freeman, Matt Hodges, Harrison Smith, and Jonbob Wise. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Brunson, Burrell Gee, and Lolo Lubiani.
