Robert (Bobby) Eugene Nored

Mr. Nored was born in Leland, MS, on June 25th, 1944, to William Hiram and Winnie Pearl Taylor Nored. He attended the Greenwood City Schools graduating from Greenwood High School in 1962 and the University of Mississippi in 1966. : Mr. Nored, also known as Yogi by many was known for his love of baseball, and the Ole Miss rebels. He was also founder of Pillow academy girls softball team who was undefeated during his coaching years. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Upon graduation, he served six years in the Mississippi National Guard.

He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and for many years also attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. A retired farmer, Cotton Factor, and president of the W.H. Nored Cotton Company, he also served as president of the Greenwood Farmers' Club and as a director of the Greenwood Cotton Exchange. Yogi lived his dream of creating the Triple N Ranch at Teoc, MS, where children could ride horses, interact with exotic animals and celebrate birthday parties.

He is survived by his wife Debra Logan Nored; three daughters: Elizabeth
Nored Hardin of Greenwood; Amy Nored Howard (Scott) of Wilmington,
NC; and Nancy Nored Riley (Tommy) of New Madrid, MO. Eight grandchildren:
Nored and Wynn Hardin of Greenwood; Sara Scott, Carter, and Ann Herrett
of NC; and R.C., Ali, and Landon of MO. He is also survived by six stepdaughters
all of Greenwood: Ashley Lott Scott (Solon); Meagan Lott Austin (Andy);
Kelli Lott Stainback (Andrew); Kathleen Lott; Christina Moses; Mary Hannah Edwards; and eight stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Billy Nored, and an
Infant granddaughter Lacey Jane Riley.

Visitation will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Friday,
February 24th, from 9:30 a.m until service time at 11:00 a.m. Father Gregory Plata
OFM will officiate services. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Walter Pillow, Jr., Charlie Swayze, Jr., Grady McCool,
Larry Griggs, Dr. Mike Carter, Fred Jones Poindexter, Dr. Paul Kosko,
Nored Hardin, and R.C. Riley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Community Food
