Robert Lamar Russell

September 11, 1935 – July 23, 2020

Mr. Russell, age 84, died on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at his residence in Grenada, MS.

He was born on September 11, 1935 in Yazoo County, MS, to the late Robert Douglas and Estelle Saxton Russell. He resided in Moorhead and Greenwood before moving to Grenada 15 years ago. Mr. Russell proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Guam. He retired from catfish farming after 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Harris Russell and Jesse Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Cox Russell of Grenada, MS: two sons Jamey Russell of Grenada, MS and James Louis Russell of Grenada, MS; two daughters, Jennifer Russell of Greenville, MS and Melanie Russell Hill (Gary) of Riverview, FL; and a sister Shirley Stalvey (Sam) of Clermont, FL. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
