Robert "Dean" Vail, 72, of North Carrollton, Mississippi, formerly of Greenwood, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He passed unexpectedly at his home. The visitation and services will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the North Carrollton United Methodist Church, with visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with services immediately after. Reverend Cindy Glaizer will officiate the services.

Dean was born on November 18, 1953, in Greenwood, to Robert E. and Lynn Brewster Vail. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Vail, his children, Robert E. Vail, Alan B. Vail, and Miriam L. Clark (Zachary Clark), and his grandchildren, Penelope R. Clark and Willow M. Clark. He is also survived by his brother Eddie Vail (Judy Vail).

Dean was a retired insurance salesman. He was known for his love of music, especially The Beatles. He also enjoyed watching football, but most importantly spending time with his friends and family. He is remembered as a kind, sweet person. He is held very dear to everyone who met him.
