Services for Rose Hayslett Mathews will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 10:00 AM at Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Mathews, age 98, died on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Riverview Nursing Home.

She was born on August 28, 1919 in Columbus, MS, to the late Fred Miller and Fannye Lamb Hayslett and lived in Greenwood, MS, most of her life. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mathews is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles M. Mathews; daughter, Rose Mathews Ewing; and two brothers, Charles N. Hayslett, Sr. and Thomas L. Hayslett, Sr.

She is survived by her two granddaughters, Virginia (Bobby) Haley of Greenwood, MS, and Melissa Rapp of Coppell, TX; great grandson, Charles Mathews Haley of Oxford, MS; and a great granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Rapp of Coppell, TX.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood. Rev. Peter Gray will officiate the services. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
