Rubye B. Carlisle

Services for Rubye B. Carlisle will be held Friday, August 30, 2019 1:00 PM graveside in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.

Mrs. Carlisle, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at her residence in Greenwood.

She was born on June 22, 1938 to Harvey and Linnie Mae Bush Britt and resided in Greenwood most of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Carlisle was the owner and operator of Mimi's Restaurant and Carlisle Furniture in Greenwood for a number of years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vernon Carlisle; three daughters, Jamye Wiltshire, Janice Lowe, and Patricia Chase; and a son, Stephen Wiltshire.

She is survived by her three sons, Darryl Wiltshire of Hot Springs, AR, Negaile "Chris" Richmond of Ponotoc, MS, and Keith Carlisle of Carrollton, MS; two daughters, Vanessa Breland of Gulfport, MS, and Darla Carlisle of Baytown, TX; sister, Bettye Vail of Columbus, MS; 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Bubba Tanner, Lynn Haley, Sammy Barksdale, Bobby Barksdale, Brad Jacobs, and Jay Harper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Wright, Ronnie Stone, and Wesley Carlisle.
