Samuel Lee Neely, Jr, 71, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, November 4, 2024 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Neely was born on January 4, 1953 in Greenwood, to the late Samuel Lee Neely, Sr. and Lela Ruth Reidenbaugh Neely. He retired from MDOT and Express Grain. He was a member of Valley Hill Baptist Church and loved to hunt, fish, talk, and travel.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Bowers Neely of Greenwood, MS; son, Sambo (Mikki) Neely of Holcomb, MS; step son Jeff (Becky) Swindle of Teoc, MS; step daughter, Frances (Randy) Alford of Greenwood, MS; grandchildren, Sarah Grace, KK, Emma, Grayson, Hannah, Ray, James, and Josh; and special friends, Betty and Roy Heath of Greenwood.

Memorials may be made to the Leflore Humane Society.
