Services for Sara Frances Ussery White will be held Friday July 17, 2015 03:00 PM at graveside in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. White, age 89 died on Monday July 13, 2015 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of Heart Failure.

She was born on October 14, 1925 in Morgan City, MS to the late George and Winnie Grant Ussery. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church and a former member of First Christian Church, where she taught chiro and youth group classes and was a member of the CWF women's group. She was also a former member of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood. Mrs. White played an active role in her children's Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups, and she was an avid seamstress and gardener. She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis White and a son Ricky White.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Ross) Taylor of Teoc, MS. Three grandchildren Sid Taylor of Teoc, Erica (Ricky) Fisk of Teoc, and Sean (Kathryn) Taylor of Brandon, MS, and four great grandchildren, Olivia Taylor, Hunter Fisk, Zoey Wasco, and Rory Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 17, 2015 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Ross Taylor, Sid Taylor, Sean Taylor, Ricky Fisk, Olivia Taylor, and Billy Stubbs. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
