Sarah "June" Mims, 83, died on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Golden Age Nursing Home.

Mrs. Mims was born June 30, 1934 in Carroll County to William Riley and Doris Estele Montgomery. She married the love of her life, Loye Mims, on October 24, 1950, and together they built a successful retail business which they owned and operated together. Mrs. Mims collected and loved antiques. She was known as "Nana" to many and loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a faithful member of Greenwood Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Loye Mims, and a sister, Stella Frazier.

She is survived by her daughter, Karol Acy (Scott) of Blackhawk, MS; two sons, Bill Mims (Sonya) of Blue Springs, MS, and Wayne Mims (Cissy) of Oxford, MS; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a special niece, Lynn Ainsworth of Brandon, MS.

Pallbearers will be Eric Scates, Chase Scates, JR Easterling, Mike Acy, Brent Acy, and Jeromy Jaudon. Services will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Church of God. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
