Services for Sarah Elizabeth Taylor will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 10:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.
Mrs. Taylor, age 92, went to be with the Lord with her family by her side, on Monday, June 26, 2017 at her residence in Teoc, MS.
She was born on January 24, 1925 in Linn, MS, to the late Archie and Luddie Rebecca Blount Smith. She was a member of Malmaison Baptist Church in Carroll County since 1992 where she helped establish the children's church. She loved her family and especially enjoyed cooking and caring for her grandchildren. She loved to garden and care for all the children in her community. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Sidney B. Taylor; and a daughter, Barbara June Mims.
She is survived by two sons, Ross (Sandra) Taylor of Carrollton, MS, and Ray (Sheila) Taylor of Carrollton, MS; eight grandchildren, Terri (Gary) Kutz of Memphis, TN, Traci (Wade) Thompson of Leland, MS, Chad (Tracy) Killebrew of Leland, MS, Sid (Samantha) Taylor of Carrollton, MS, Erica (Ricky) Fisk of Carrollton, MS, Sean (Kathryn) Taylor of Brandon, MS, Anthony (Beth) Taylor of Carrollton, MS, and Cassie Taylor of Carrollton, MS; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev Elbert McKnight will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Chad Killebrew, Sid Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Garrett Kutz, Harry Kutz, and Wade Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Taylor, Dorcy Blount, Jimmie Blount, Mike Blount, and Eddie Taylor. Interment will be in Malmaison Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
