Services for Savannah Gray will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 2:00 P.M. at St. John's United Methodist Church. Savannah, 31, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her home. She was born May 20, 1990 in Greenwood, MS. She attended Pillow Academy through the eleventh grade and graduated from New Delta Preparatory School in 2008. She won many academic awards while in school. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was a member of the Honor's College and won the Pre-Law Award in 2021.
Savannah loved to be outdoors and found much solace in nature. She enjoyed many solitary camping trips, kayaking and hiking. She also loved travel, photography and had a unique eye.
Savannah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joy and Lamar Gray, and a special great-aunt, Jean Savage. She is survived by her mother, Stephanie Gray, and father, Steven Gray (Wanda); grandparents, Terrell and Peggy Cobb; aunts and uncles, Nicky and Elizabeth Cobb and Margie Ann and Jack Aberg; and cousins, Andy, Mike and Jeffrey Aberg, Nicholas (Karis), Russell, and Caroline Cobb.
Savannah worked for John L. Gary, Jr. at the Leflore Chancery Clerk's office and formerly Sam Abraham and Christine Lymon. Visitation is from 12-2 P.M. Wednesday at the Lighthouse of St. John's United Methodist Church followed immediately by the service at 2 P.M. in the sanctuary. Reverends Dr. Jeff Walker and Dr. Scott Wright will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery in Tchula, MS.
Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge.
