Sharon Bledsoe Wyatt
July 27, 1943 – November 2, 2021
The Greenwood and Delta community as a whole lost a pillar in the early hours of Tuesday, November 2, 2021 when Mrs. Sharon Wyatt sadly passed away from complications with lung cancer. Her contributions to the lives of so many were infectious as she served on charity boards and took her faith to higher levels by supporting those in desperate need of love and compassion. Sharon loved her Lord and served him mightily in every way she knew possible her entire life both locally and abroad.
Sharon and her lifetime husband Charles "Chuck" Wyatt moved to Greenwood from Little Rock, AR in 1983 with their two sons Steven and Allan Wyatt. While Chuck managed his soft drink business, Sharon served her customers in the local banking community beginning with Deposit Guaranty before retiring from CB&S Bank. From the early age of 21 until her recent retirement, Sharon adored her chosen career path and went to great lengths to ensure her customers' happiness and needs were met to the highest of standards.
Sharon was the matriarch of her family always spending hours baking and cooking everything from turkey dressing to a table full of delicious cakes and pies at every holiday for her loving children, extended family, but most importantly her adorable grandchildren. She went above and beyond in every aspect of her precious life. Her family around her felt it every time they were in her presence.
Sharon was born July 27, 1943 in Little Rock, AR to Clara Holloway Bledsoe of Monroe, LA and Charles Wallace Bledsoe of Little Rock, AR. She is survived by a younger brother, Charles Wallace Bledsoe of Lake Havasu, NV and his wife Marty Bledsoe. Sharon also had a baby sister, Nichole Bledsoe Wise of Overland Park, KS and her husband Jon Donald Wise. Sharon and Chuck had three sons with extended family: David Charles Wyatt of Little Rock, AR, John Allan Wyatt and Carlene Shelton Wyatt of Grenada, MS, as well as their youngest son, Steven Mark Wyatt, also from Grenada, MS. Sharon and Chuck also had the joy of four grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Charles David Wyatt, wife Amity Grace Wyatt and their daughter, Lilly Noelle Wyatt, all of Little Rock, AR; Elizabeth Wyatt Barnitz and her husband Teran Barnitz with their son, Hutchison Reeves Barnitz, all of Tupelo, MS; and finally Madeline Rae Wyatt of Jackson, MS, and her brother, Steven Mark Wyatt Jr, of Oxford, MS.
Visitation will begin at 9:30am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am both of which will be held at North Greenwood Baptist Church located at 615 Grand Blvd. Greenwood, MS on Tuesday November 9th. Service and message will be officiated by longtime pastor Jim Phillips. Pallbearers for Sharon will be her loving friends, co-workers and family: Charles Wright, JP Walker, Steven Wyatt Jr, Charles David Wyatt, Matt Jones and Michael Shelton. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy Ellett and Billy Hopper.
For those wishing to celebrate her life through a gift please consider her favorite local charity Altrusa International's local chapter, PO Box 222, Greenwood MS 38935, that serve so many children in desperate need of attention and loving care.
