Sherrye Taylor Howell

Services for Sherrye Taylor Howell will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 1:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Howell, age 63, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

She was born on September 16, 1956 in Greenwood, and resided there all of her life. Sherrye was a graduate of Greenwood High School and the owner and operator of McBee's Wholesale. Through the 1980's, she was known for Mr. Charlie's Balloons' singing telegrams. She is preceded in death by her father, William Bill Taylor, and step father, Wallace L. McDaniel.

She is survived by her two sons, Don (Sarah) Buchanan of Sidon, MS, and Taylor (Nichole Henry) Buchanan of Greenwood, MS; mother, Iva Nell McDaniel of Greenwood, MS; three brothers, Randy Taylor of Teoc, MS, James McDaniel of Greenwood, MS, and Jason McDaniel of Greenwood, MS; two sisters, Melanie Apple of Nashville, TN, and Janet Flanagan of Coila, MS; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Buchanan and Brad Buchanan, both of Sidon, MS.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Marvin Haley, David Watson, JT Hurst, Will Conner, Steve Flanagan, Hunter Flanagan, and Will Taylor. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jim Riales. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
