Greenwood, MS: Sue C. Williams Whitaker, 89, died Sunday September 22, 2013 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services are 3 P.M. Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, MS with Rev. John Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-2 P.M. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home.

Mrs. Whitaker was born in Webster County, MS to Everett and Agnes Jenkins Carver. She had been a former resident of Cleveland but lived most of her life in Greenwood. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed music and was a sign language interpreter. She had also been an avid bowler.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy Williams and was the widow of James E. Whitaker.

Survivors include her two sons, Douglas A. Williams and his wife Debra of Greenwood, Buddy Robinson and his wife Deb of Brandon, a step daughter, Mary C. Davis of Greenwood, step son T. J. Whitaker of Gahanna, OH, grandchildren Cindy Jester and her husband Mike, Edi Shumaker and her husband Michael, and Rett Robinson, her great grandchildren, Julia and Hannah Jester and Rhylynn Shumaker.

Pallbearers are Doug Williams, Buddy Robinson, Rett Robinson, Parker Robinson, Nealy Robinson and Billy Carver.
