Sue "Sue Sue" Vowell White, 86, of Greenwood, MS, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Mark Shiers and John Pigg will officiate the services.

She was born March 17, 1931 to John Naldo Williams and Ruby Velma Gardner Williams. She was a member of West President Church of Christ where she served as secretary for many years. She also worked as a teacher's aide for Leflore County Schools and Greenwood Public Schools. She was a wonderful mother and always up for an adventure. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, A. J. Vowell and Cyrus White; her sister, Sally Lou Welch; and a step-son, Harold White.

She is survived by her son, Barney A. Vowell of Denver, CO; three daughters, Joyce Acy, and husband Jerry of Madison, MS, Carol Reaves and husband Windie of Greenwood, MS, and Jaymee Vowell of Atlanta, GA; step-son, Cyrus White, Jr. of Bay Minette, AL; step-daughter, Patricia Watkins of Itta Bena, MS; grandchildren, Kim Mauch and husband Karl, Bryan Vowell and girlfriend Tina, Gareth Acy and wife Jan, Jared Acy and wife Amanda, Trevor Acy and wife Kate, Kerri Grossman and husband Glen, Shannon Perry, Winn David Reaves, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gareth Acy, Jared Acy, Trevor Acy, Winn David Reaves, Glen Grossman, and Glenn Kimble.

Memorials may be made to Sunny Brooke Children's Home or a charity of choice.
