Talvis Filmore Stewart, Jr., 50, of Greenwood, MS, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, peacefully at home with his family by his side. Talvis was born June 2, 1964 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital to Talvis Filmore (TF) and Jeanine Bell Stewart. He was married to the love of his life, Beverly Thompson Stewart, for 33 years. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Talvis graduated from Greenwood High School and was a member of Hill View Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Beverly, sons Talvis Filmore Stewart III (Jessica) Morgan City, MS and Robert Wayne Stewart, Starkville, MS, and daughter Laura Stewart Armstrong (Evin) Greenwood, MS. Four grandchildren Ansley Stewart, Talvis Filmore Stewart IV, Brayden Dale Armstrong and Easton Rhett Armstrong. One brother Millard Ray Stewart (DeeDee) Pearl, MS and four sisters, Janice Pittman (Larry) Saltillo, MS; Danise Ackelson (Steve) Lacey, WA; Jeanine Schronce (Harold) Cosby, TN; and Deanie Dixon, Horn Lake, MS. Twelve nieces and nephews. Talvis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Wayne Stewart.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday May 23, 2015 at Hill View Baptist Church with services to follow at 4 p.m. at Hill View Baptist Church, 23919 Hwy. 430 South (Humphreys Highway), Greenwood, MS 38930.Burial will follow in Hill View Stone Cemetery. Brother David Bartlett will officiate.

Pallbearers are Larry Pittman Sr., Larry Pittman Jr., Mathew Schad, Wesley Ricks, Billy Bell Jr., Charlie Bell, Wade Bell, and Bobby Bell.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Joe Pressler and Dr. Darryl Hamilton.
