In peace, Tamara Sue Pierce-Ashmore, née Watkins, has passed from this life. Her path
distilled to love, and there are many who were held in the embrace of her kindness and
generosity. It seemed at times, in certain of the small towns in Texas and Mississippi that
Tamara often visited, everyone knew her, as she would command the attention of any who were
around through the simple charisma of her nature, and her beauty. She was always quick to
bring some new face into her life, and she was slow to judge. She had great faith in people, and
in her God. Tamara loved her three sons most in life, for whom she scarified daily. She will truly
be missed. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Judy Watkins; her brother, Randy Watkins;
her husband, David Ashmore; her three sons, Ryan, Nicholas, and Jack Pierce; her stepchildren, Katie and Kevin Bostock, and
Matt and Amanda Ashmore; her granddaughter, Miley; and her daughter-in-law,
Hannah McCormick.
A service, celebrating her life, will be held at Blackhawk United Methodist Church,
Saturday September 17, 2016 at 2:00PM with visitation starting at 1:00PM at the church. Burial will be in the Black Hawk Cemetery. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge.
