Theresa Agnes Antoon, of Greenwood, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 am graveside in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Father Greg Plata OFM will officiate the services following in Odd Fellows.
Miss Antoon was a retired federal employee having worked at the Greenwood Army Air Field, Memphis Army Air Field, Kennedy Veterans Hospital in Memphis, TN, and Farmers Home Administration in Greenwood.
A Greenwood native, she spent most of her life in Greenwood, graduated from Greenwood High School and attended Delta State Teachers College (now known as Delta State University).
She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was active in church clubs and other projects. She was also a member of the Matinee Musicale having served as a violinist and was a longtime volunteer worker at Golden Age Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Farris and Rose Antoon; two sisters, Adele Antoon Matacia and Cecelia Antoon Reynolds; one brother, Asper Antoon; one nephew; and two nieces.
She is survived by her brother, Ellis Antoon, and his wife Jo Ann, of Greenwood, MS, 12 nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
