Sidon Cemetery
Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
Thomas “Tommy” Jefferson Lindsey, III, 88, of Sidon, Mississippi, died peacefully, October 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by his daughter and sitters.
Tommy was born in Ruleville, on January 13, 1938, to the late Iva Lee Mann Lindsey and Thomas Jefferson Lindsey, Jr. Later his family moved to Sidon, where he attended Sidon Elementary School, then Humphreys High School / Leflore County High School, and later Delta State University before joining the United States Marine Corp.
When he was discharged from service, Tommy married the love of his life Barbara Ann Bradshaw on June 30, 1960. They lived in Greenwood, for the first year of their marriage and then moved to Sidon and started their family. That next year their daughter, Bethany Ann Lindsey Jones, was born. Many years of love and family time followed. During these years Tommy attended Sidon Baptist Church, but later returned to his childhood Methodist roots, the Sidon Methodist Church. He served there faithfully and enjoyed the fellowship with all.
Tommy worked at Morris Office Machines during his early years, and then later, he and his partner Larry Crawford purchased the business and were co-owners until they sold it. He enjoyed his retirement doing anything outside, especially gardening and mowing the yard.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Bethany Ann Lindsey Jones (Hank); sister, Lynette Wier; sister-in-law, Mary Joyce Lindsey; and many loving and caring nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barabra Ann Bradshaw Lindsey; and brother, John Wallace “Nig” Lindsey.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2026, in the Sidon Cemetery with Rev. Ben Butler and Rev. Paul McDonald officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Keesler-Hamrick Gillespie American Legion Post 29.
Pallbearers will be Lake Lindsey, Jacob Lindsey, Mack Bradshaw, and Steven Wier.
Memorials may be made to Sidon Methodist Church or the Leflore County Humane Society.
