Services for Tommy Lee Carpenter will be held Monday October 26, 2015 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Mr. Carpenter, age 64 died on Friday October 23, 2015 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

He was born on November 28, 1950 to Harold Lee and Dorothy Mann Carpenter, in Greenville and resided in Carrollton his adult life. Mr. Carpenter was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Mississippi Delta Community College. He worked for Bowman and Bowman for the past 35 years, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenwood, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and great story teller. He is preceded in death by his father Harold Lee Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Romona Smith Carpenter of Carrollton, MS, two Sons, William James Carpenter of Nashua, NH, and David Lee (Misty) Carpenter of Drew, MS, Mother, Dorothy Mann Carpenter of Carrollton, MS, Sister, Carolyn Carpenter (Tim) Lamb of Oxford, MS, two Grandchildren, Zach Carpenter, and Allie Carpenter, three Nieces, Vicki Whitehead, Susan Lamb, and Emily Sipes.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 25, 2015 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev Leon Holly will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jerry Shaw, Hunter Hawkins, Doyle Carpenter, Terry Tingle, Albert Carver, and Jimmy Holly. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Big Hungry Hunting Club. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.
